Dr. Michael Ritter and lic. iur. Christian Ritter founded the Knights & Ritter Consult in 2005. Ritter & Ritter Consult is a trust company providing services in the areas of the establishment of association, companies and trustees, assumption of administrative mandates, economic and tax consulting.

Due to the manageable size of the company, we can secure personal support for each client in a genuine partnership. For us, intensity and quality are at a given. We think in a networked way and work independently. We know what matters, not just what pays off. That’s what makes it.

Dr. Michael Ritter grew up in Liechtenstein and studied law at the University of Bern, where he received his doctorate in 1992. Dr. Michael Ritter began his professional career in 1984 as a legal assistant to the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein. In 1990, the international law expert was appointed to the Liechtenstein EEA negotiating delegation.

Three years later, Dr. Michael Ritter became a member of the government, of which he was Minister of Economy and Social Affairs from 1993 to 2001. In the second term of his eight-year reign, he served as head of government. He was a member of the Board of Directors in one of the largest Liechtenstein banks and is currently a member of the Board of Directors in an international insurance company as well as in other operating companies.

Dr. Michael Ritter brings to the company broad professional experience in administration, government, international negotiations and as a board of directors. Dr. Michael Ritter is a member of the supervisory board of the Liechtenstein Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FMA) and President of the Board of Trustees of the Liechtenstein State Hospital. He speaks German, English and French.

Christian Ritter studied law in Fribourg. After internships at the Principal District Court and as a legal assistant to the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein, he worked for five years at the Advocacy Office Dr. Hanspeter Jehle and passed the bar exam in 1995. In 1996, Christian Ritter also completed the training of judges and was appointed a land judge in 1997. He served until 2001 as a judge in civil and criminal cases, as well as chairman of the juvenile court. He was also a full member of the auditors ‘ audit committee.

In 1997, the Liechtenstein citizen completed his postgraduate studies in European and International Business Law at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and in 2016 he studied postgraduate studies as Executive Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Taxation at the University of St. Gallen. University of Liechtenstein. Christian Ritter was president of the Complaints Commission for Administrative Affairs (VBK) from 2005 to 2013, president of the Land Basic Transport Commission from 2010 to 2012 and president of the Land Tax Commission from 2012 to 2014. Christian Ritter has been a judge of the State Court of the Principality of Liechtenstein since 2015.

This wealth of experience ensures precision in formal issues and forensic analysis, as well as a know-how edge in process processes. Christian Ritter is a member of the Liechtenstein Bar Association and the Liechtenstein Criminal Defender Association (VLS). He speaks German, English and French.
